Family garden in Haslemere

Creating a safe and beautiful space for her children to play in was the main priority of my client in this project.

A set of steep steps leading down to the garden and old decking was replaced with an extended terrace of hard-wearing, elegant limestone with wider, shallow steps down to the garden. Larch slatted fence panels give a clean, modern feel and provide useful screening.

The terrace can accommodate a large family dining table and has a separate area for sofas and a coffee table. Both areas have views out over the garden, where the children can be watched playing, through stylish decorative screening.

Evergreen shrubs punctuate corners and provide structure whilst tall, airy perennials surround and soften the terrace edging.

The right hand side of the garden which was overgrown and rose steeply to raised fence panels has been transformed with smart sleeper beds filled with flowering shrubs, perennials and grasses. Whilst, on the left hand side, pleached trees are used to screen other nearby houses and add privacy.
